The 2020 Kia Forte is a compact sedan that comes with a luxurious cabin, a long list of tech equipment, and an economical price tag. The 2020 Kia Forte is offered in five trim levels at dealers like Tomball Kia: FE, LXS, GT-Line, EX and GT. All models except the GT are equipped with a standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. This unit is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) on all models except the FE, which gets a standard six-speed manual transmission and the CVT as an option. The GT trim is powered by a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 201 hp and 195 lb-ft, mated to a standard seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters or an available six-speed manual gearbox.

Kia Forte FE

The base Forte FE trim comes with 15-inch steel wheels, cloth upholstery, height-adjustable front seats, automatic headlights, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, a trip computer, an 8-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a four-speaker stereo system, Bluetooth, an auxiliary audio input and a USB port. Driver-assist features that come standard include lane keeping assist, forward collision warning and driver attention monitoring.

Kia Forte LXS

Stepping up to the LXS trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels, selectable drive modes, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, and soft-touch surfaces on the dash and doors.

Kia Forte GT-Line

The GT-Line trim includes a rear spoiler, 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry and ignition, heated mirrors, cloth upholstery with faux-leather side bolsters, a rear armrest, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a stereo system with six speakers, and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.

Kia Forte EX

The EX trim gets most of the convenience features of the GT-Line and adds 17-inch wheels, rear air vents, dual-zone automatic climate control, simulated leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, satellite radio and two USB charge ports.

Kia Forte GT

In addition to the upgraded engine, the GT trim includes 18-inch wheels, larger front brakes, a fully independent rear suspension and dual exhaust pipes. Also standard are rear air vents, LED headlights, ambient interior lighting, automatic high-beam control, satellite radio and two USB charging ports. Michelin Pilot Sport summer performance tires are available.

The GT-Line, EX and GT trims have an available package that features a sunroof, an eight-speaker Harman Kardon premium stereo system and a wireless charging pad. The GT-Line has a Premium package that adds satellite radio, voice recognition and two USB chargers. The EX gets a Special Edition package that tacks on a navigation system and a rear spoiler. Finally, the GT has a GT2 package that adds the features from the GT-Line and EX models, except the dual-zone climate control system, which is available in the GT-Line and the GT. This package also comes with adaptive cruise control and a sliding armrest.
