The 2020 Kia Sportage is a compact crossover that’s popular with customers at the Kia dealer near Tomball, thanks to its smooth and quiet ride, spacious cabin and economical price tag. Although the Sportage costs less than many rivals in its class, it comes with more features, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as driver-assistance technology such as lane departure warning and forward collision warning. New standard features include an 8-inch touchscreen, while options such as LED headlights, faux-leather interior trim and a phone charger bring even more to the table.

The Sportage seats five passengers and is comes in four trim levels: LX, S, EX and SX Turbo. According to the Kia dealer serving Tomball, all models get standard front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive is available. The LX is equipped with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 181 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. This unit is also standard on the S and EX trims.

Standard features on the LX trim include LED daytime running lights, rear privacy glass, 17-inch alloy wheels, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, automatic headlights, a height-adjustable driver's seat, a 60/40-split folding and reclining back seat, selectable driving modes, a driver information display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker sound system with a USB port, the Kia Uvo infotainment system, an 8-inch touchscreen display and Bluetooth. Safety gear that comes standard includes a rearview camera, lane departure warning and mitigation, a driver attention monitor, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection, and automatic high-beam control.

The LX has an optional Popular package, which adds many features, including fog lights, a windshield wiper de-icer, UV-reducing glass, dual-zone automatic climate control, power-folding and heated side mirrors, upgraded seat fabric, a power-adjustable driver's seat, vanity mirror lights and a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.

The S trim starts with the features of the LX and adds 18-inch wheels, Sofino simulated-leather upholstery, roof rails, fog lights, a flat-bottom steering wheel, exterior and interior styling augmentations, heated and power-folding mirrors, steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, and the blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert.

The S has two option packages, the Sunroof package, which adds a panoramic sunroof, among other features and the S Premium package, which comes with the contents of the Sunroof package, plus exclusive wheels, black interior trim, several tech features and more.

The EX trim takes features from the LX and S trims and adds features from the available packages. The EX comes with 18-inch wheels, a hands-free tailgate, roof rails, Sofino faux leather upholstery, keyless entry and ignition, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter, black interior trim and a rear USB port.

The EX has an available Technology package, which includes a host of tech features, plus an eight-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with voice recognition and satellite radio.

The top-of-the-line SX Turbo is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 240 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. In all-wheel-drive models, this engine makes 237 hp. The SX Turbo comes with all the features and options of the lower trims and option packages.
