The 2019 Kia Forte is offered in four trims: FE, LXS, S and EX. Powering the Forte is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. On the FE trim, this engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, while the others come with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The CVT’s manual shift is more responsive than you’ll get with most other CVTs, and it features programmed steps.
